In response to the deployment of the National Security Guard (NSG) in Sandeshkhali, West Bengal, BJP candidate Dilip Ghosh expressed concern, stating that bringing in central forces like the NSG is necessary if weapons are to be recovered in the state. Ghosh criticized the role of the state police, claiming they have no significant presence in West Bengal.

Dilip Ghosh voiced concern over the situation, stating that the state of West Bengal has become a "safe heaven for terrorists." Ghosh highlighted the need for heightened security measures during elections, indicating a growing sense of lawlessness in the state.

Amidst the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, the CBI and NSG conducted searches in Sandeshkhali and North 24 Parganas district, uncovering foreign-made pistols, revolvers, and other arms. The recovery has raised concerns about criminal activity and potential foreign involvement in the region.
